Vintage Suitcase Sidetable

I found this old vintage suitcase in a secondhand shop last year to add to my collection. This one was made in Melbourne by Fred Dodge and it's in great condition. I have a few and store cd's and things in them but I decided to do something different with this one. It's sits on a frame and legs made from Tasmanian Blackwood.

Veer Sideboard

The Veer Sideboard was my piece for the 'Our Journey With The Grain' exhibition held at the Sturt Gallery. The design came from wanting to make a Scandinavian inspired piece that looked good and was also functional.

It's made from Tasmanian Blackwood, Birch ply and Laminex.

Both solid timber and veneered ply was used, much of the veneer has beautiful fiddleback grain which really shines through in the right light. It features Hafele hardware with self closing and soft close drawers. It measures 1800mm long by 750mm high and 500mm deep.
